Dr. Dean Licenblat
Principal Dental Surgeon
Dr Dean Licenblat is the first Australian Diplomate for the American Board of Oral Implantology.
He has been in private general practice in Sydney since graduating from the University of Sydney’s Dental program, and has also completed his Bachelor of Science with honours in Microbiology. He also holds a prestigious Master’s Degree from the Goethe University in Frankfurt with a focus on Oral Implantology and Bone Grafting.
As a “Diplomate” member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the highest ranking achievable, Dr. Dean Licenblat together with Sydney Dental Aesthetics & Implants is one of a few dental surgeries to be awarded ‘Leading Implant Centres of the World’. And he is the first Australian Diplomate for the American Board of Oral Implantology (ABOI).
Dr. Licenblat is Treasurer of the ASID (Australian Society of Implant Dentistry) and a senior tutor for the Master’s program in Oral Implantology for Goethe University, Frankfurt. Many of the Australian dentists graduating from the program the past few years have been fortunate to have Dr. Licenblat mentor and guide them.
As a member of numerous dental societies and an unparalleled dedication to continuing education, Dr. Licenblat often attends post-graduate educational programs both locally and abroad. The results of which are integrated into the practice thus offering patients the most technologically advanced and effective long-term treatment modalities.

Having worked in private general practice as a dentist at several surgeries in the Sydney metropolitan area, Dr. Melissa Licenblat brings a tremendous amount of experience and professionalism to SDAI. Her experience is matched only by her qualifications. With a Medical Science degree from the University of Sydney, coupled with an honours degree from their esteemed Dental program , Dr. Melissa Licenblat is one of the principal dentists at SDAI.
Following on the mantra of continuing education so rich at SDAI, Dr. Melissa Licenblat has also attained a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Conscious Sedation and Pain Control) and is now primarily a practicing Sedationist. In addition to SDAI’s own patients, Dr. Melissa is also highly sought after at other dental practices in Sydney, Wollongong, Goulburn and the Central Coast where she regularly performs Sedations for the dental community.

Dr Joanna Wyszynski
Dentist
Dr Joanna’s dental journey started when she was 16 years old, working as a dental nurse in the inner west. Her fascination in health and wellbeing pathed her way to completing her Medical Science Degree before graduating from Charles Sturt University to become a dentist in 2013. Her experiences over the years in dentistry have helped shape the dentist she is today. Dr Joanna passion is to help patients care and look after their teeth and well being for life. Her kind and gentle nature translates to the relationships she builds with her patients.
Dr Joanna enjoys creating beautiful healthy smiles, loves working with children and older patients that have dental related anxiety. Her soothing and gentle nature allows her patients to feel safe and as comfortable as possible in the dental chair.
She also speaks Polish fluently and loves to make her Polish family feel at home. In her free time, you will find her running around after her son. She loves being a mum to her little boy Alessio.

Oral Health Therapist
Lilian is a qualified Oral Health Therapist with a passion for all aspects of oral hygiene and therapy including preventative dental care, periodontal treatment and cosmetics dentistry.
She received her Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy from the University of Sydney and has undertaken further graduate studies to expand her scope to adult restorative dentistry. Lilian is committed to supporting and raising awareness around oral health conditions and treating the person, not just the symptoms.
Outside of work, Lilian has a passion for travelling to other countries and exploring new cultures and cuisines.

Liz Raikes
Hygienist
Originally from London, Liz made the vibrant city of Sydney her home in 1998. With over 30 years of invaluable experience in the dental industry, Liz has become a trusted figure in promoting oral health and well-being.
Liz’s journey in dentistry began with a solid foundation, earning her the National certificate in Dental Assisting and Radiography. Liz was awarded a Diploma of Dental Hygiene from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2000.
With a keen interest in periodontics, Liz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her patients. Her compassionate approach is especially valued when working with anxious patients, ensuring they receive the care they need in a calm and supportive environment.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Liz is a qualified Iyengar yoga teacher, sharing her passion for health and wellness with others through regular teaching sessions. Her commitment to holistic well-being reflects in her approach to dental care, emphasising the importance of balance and mindfulness in maintaining optimal oral health.
Liz’s dedication to her craft, coupled with her warm personality and genuine care for her patients, sets her apart as a leading dental hygienist in Sydney. Whether in the dental chair or on the yoga mat, Liz is committed to empowering others to lead healthier, happier lives.
